24/7 Control module in operation at the next store
Another automated store fully powered by the B.O.S.S. Automatic system was opened in Třeboň in June 2023. The store, which is operated by the COOP-Group under the Trefa brand, has been fully equipped with technology from P.V.A. systems for the launch of self-service mode. The subsystem for controlling access to the store includes a module for automated opening of the entrance door, QR code readers, a communicator with remote service or a button for emergency opening of the door.
The operator is provided with an application for online monitoring and management of all store peripherals. He can thus react in real time to situations that arise in the store and, for example, open the entrance door remotely. With the growing number of self-service stores, this application will also find use in monitoring centres, where the operator of the central monitoring station will be able to manage systematically all automated stores of a particular retail chain.
The ČSOB DoKapsy mobile application, which can also be used by customers of other banks, is used to enter the store. The application generates a QR code that accompanies the customer throughout the shopping process - from the opening of the entrance door, through payment at the self-service checkout, to leaving the store. The B.O.S.S. Automatic system is not tied to the use of just one mobile application. In practice, it is up to the operator to decide which mobile applications or alternatively other elements (e.g. customer card with NFC chip) to use for entry.
One system, one supplier, one helpdesk
The B.O.S.S. Automatic system provides a complete solution for the central management of 24/7 automated stores. P.V.A. systems is the guarantor of the functionality of this system and the only supplier. The operator thus gains the comfort of a single helpdesk and eliminates the need for costly integration of external systems.
